Volunteers on Campus
Reid School welcomes visitors to its school. We recognize the importance of parent involvement in their children’s education, and encourage parents, as well as other adults, in fostering positive home, school and community relationships. We also consider the safety of our students and staff to be one of our highest priorities. We feel that we have a strong obligation to provide a safe, secure learning environment in our school.
Prior to volunteering on campus, adults interested in assisting in the classroom or on field trips should complete the Volunteer Application and Contract in order to ensure the safety of our students.
Volunteers must submit proof of a negative TB test within the past 60 days to determine that he/she is free of active tuberculosis. Volunteers who test negative shall thereafter be required to take a tuberculosis test every four years in accordance with Education Code 49406. (Education Code 45106, 45347, 45349, 49406)
If you have had a TB skin test or IGRA with a negative result within the past 4 years, you do not need to be tested again. You only need to bring in a copy of the medical report to the school.
Additional information on our Visitor Policy can be found in the School Handbook.
